MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts are not happy with President Donald Trump’s reaction to the New York City terrorist attack.

On Wednesday morning, co-host Mika Brzezinski began the segment by calling it a “truck attack” rather revealing that the man suspected of killing eight people and injuring more than a dozen others screamed “Allahu akbar” after driving a Home Depot rental truck onto a bike path in Manhattan.

The terrorist has been identified by police as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov, an Uzbekistan native who came to the United States in 2010.

Brzezinski then read a tweet Trump sent out early Thursday morning, where he appeared to suggest he would support the death penalty against Saipov given that the legal process of sending the him to the United States’ military detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, might take too long.

Scarborough criticized Trump for wanting the terrorist to face a harsh punishment for his actions, reminding viewers that citizens are presumed innocent before guilty in America.

He suggested that Trump calling for the death penalty against Saipov was inappropriate and only something that occurs in autocratic regimes.

Scarborough failed to mention that they only way Saipov could receive the death penalty would be through the judicial process.

Trump doesn’t have the sole authority to dictate the punishment against Saipov, but of course the liberal panelists didn’t make any mention of that.

Brzezinski briefly chimed in and said suggested that Trump was wrong to say he wanted the death penalty for Saipov.

Thankfully panelist Willie Geist stepped in and reminded teveryone that Saipov wasn’t going to get any sympathy from people given he killed and harmed several innocent Americans.

Geist also accurately surmised that Trump isn’t a typical president, adding that he isn’t going to sit idle when tragedy strikes the U.S. or American citizens.

“Go for the death penalty, send him to Guantanamo … but these are the things he talked about on the campaign trail and things he is talking about now as president,” Geist said, offhandedly explaining why the American people voted Trump into office.

USA Today Reporter Heidi Przybyla echoed a similar sentiment that Trump went too far with his bold rhetoric against Saipov.

While the panel wafted through their self-serving segment of trashing Trump, the panel never once mentioned that Trump was elected on bold ideas and policies.

Trump defeated failed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by promising to destroy ISIS, build a border wall along our southern border between the U.S. and Mexico, tightening our vetting processes for refugees and immigrants, and many other things.

Trump was elected as Commander-in-Chief for his bold ideas. An endless barrage of criticism from leftists isn’t going to change that Trump is going to do whatever it necessary to protect Americans and the United States.
