Liar, liar, pantsuit on fire!

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi claims she understands that voters “don’t want to hear us criticizing the President”, because it disrespects the actual vote of the people.

“(The voters) don’t want to hear us criticizing the President,” said Pelosi. “This was a choice, they made a choice.”

The artful San Francisco Democrat added, “So I say to my members, this is what we are going to do.”

Pelosi was in Colorado at an event for progressive women and made those comments before the Denver Post’s editorial board.

Wassup, gurl? Why are you talking out of both sides of your mouth? You can’t be worried about re-election. Your constituents would dance over hot coals to vote for you in the lefty world in which you inhabit.

Last week, I sat before my trusty keyboard and transcribed quotes from Pelosi for a story in which she refused to blame Antifa collectively for the violence that resulted in 13 injuries in Berkeley last week. Thousands of people flooded the streets, as masked rioters chased, clubbed, gassed and beat a handful of free speech advocates.

“Well, what is Antifa? Antifa is an organization that is fighting against Nazism. Maybe it was individuals in Antifa. Therefore, anybody who has committed an act of violence, that needs to be addressed. But you can’t give equivalence to an organization whose purpose is fight Nazism and the Nazis. You can’t give credence to an organization that is to Heil Hitler, that is not right.”

Less than 24 hours later, I’ll give you one guess who was denouncing Antifa and saying that ‘violence is never the answer.’  Yeah, none other than Pelosi.

“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts,” Pelosi wrote. “The violent actions of people calling themselves Antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted” according to her press release.

I’m just guessing that blowback from the listeners of KGO Radio must have rattled her chain.

Here’s the interesting part of this story for me. If you hit reverse, and listen to the previous five minutes of that same interview with San Francisco’s KGO host Ronn Owens, Mrs. Pelosi ran the gamut of caustic criticism of the President. And once again, within 24 hours, she was singing a different song.

Owens: On North Korea: “…Trump keeps saying one more test, fire and fury, how do we deal with the problem of North Korea?”

Pelosi: “North Korea requires thoughtful, serious, collaboration among nations. It does not require rash, reckless statements… Now we have a situation where we now have two unpredictable leaders. I don’t put President Trump in the same category, Kim Jung Un is a dangerous, dangerous person, but BOTH of them are unpredictable, that’s not we need now.”

Hmm. That doesn’t sound like a seasoned pol who woke up one morning and decided not to insult half the country with snide swipes at Mr. Trump.

It sounds moremlike a seasoned pol who figures that a local talk show host wouldn’t get national coverage of her two-faced comments.

Just sayin’.
