What do California residents think about officially becoming a sanctuary state?

Fox News personality Tomi Lahren spoke with several Californians to discuss the state providing blanket protection to roughly 2.3 million illegal immigrants, and many of their answers are infuriating.

During a segment that took place in Las Angeles, Lahren exposed how the new law, signed by Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown in October, forbids police from asking individuals if they are here legally or illegally.

With our nation’s security at risk, Lahren asked several people how they felt about all of that and if they supported Brown’s decision.

As liberal as California is, many of the people who spoke with Fox News said they were pleased with the new law, saying it was “important” to make illegal immigrants “feel safe” in the U.S.

Other emphasized that because illegal immigrants are “doing the jobs Americans won’t,” they should be able to receive the same benefits and resources as legal American citizens.

Only one man told Lahren that the U.S. Congress needs to pass an immigration bill to ensure all immigrants go through the proper legal process if they want to be in the U.S.

After the segment aired during Fox News host Sean Hannity’s program, Lahren told Hannity that California has many problems, but said she also believes there are many undercover conservatives who want immigration solved in the state.

“There are so many undercover conservatives in this state that I spoke to that are levelheaded that don’t like the fact that it’s a sanctuary state,” she said.

She explained that the state is overrun with pro-sanctuary advocates who have more power and influence in the state, which suppresses conservative voices and anyone who offers a different viewpoint about securing our borders and blocking illegal immigrants from infiltrating our nation.

So Californians want illegal immigrants to be able to come to the U.S. illegally, have access to benefits and resources as legal citizens, and be able to come and go as they please because they will do the jobs they claims Americans won’t.

That is sad and pathetic, but that’s what liberals are fighting for.
