With the liberal media running rampant with biased reporting about President Donald Trump, one top political consultant is setting the record straight once and for all.

During an appearance Tuesday on ABC’s “The View,” former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski put several liberal panelists on notice that he wasn’t going to let them get away with peddling fake news about Trump.

While discussing his new book, “Let Trump Be Trump: The Inside Story of His Rise to the Presidency,” which he co-wrote with Trump’s deputy campaign manager, David Bossie.

Co-host Sunny Hostin asked Lewandowski about an excerpt from his book regarding comments made by Trump on illegal immigration.

“On Day 1 of his campaign, Trump came down that golden escalator and he called Mexicans rapists who bring drugs and crime to America,” Hostin said.

She continued: “You wrote in your book that those words were as close to the opposite of racism as any words could be. Please Corey, explain that to me.”

Lewandowski responded by saying Hostin took Trump’s words completely out of context. Having spent a lot of time with Trump, Lewandowski explained why he was positive Trump wasn’t racist.

“I know President Trump. Not only is he not a racist or a misogynist, he is the exact opposite,” he said. “Because you know what, I’ve had the privilege of sitting next to him. And he doesn’t care if you’re white, green, blue, male or female.”

Hostin was referring to several occasions in which Trump came down hard on illegal immigration during the 2016 presidential election, where he argued that many of the people who enter the U.S. illegally are criminals.

Echoing Trump’s hardliner stance on illegal immigration, which a majority of the American people support, Lewandowski spoke about Kate Steinle.

Steinle, 32, was shot and killed in 2015 by Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, a convicted criminal immigrant who was in the country illegally after being deported several times.

“This week we had a terrible strategy of justice in my opinion. Kate Steinle’s killer, the man who killed her in cold blood, was let off because of an unjust justice system. He had been deported six times from this country,” he said.

Zarate was found not guilty last week for killing Steinle on a San Francisco, California pier in the middle of the day.

He continued: “This girl died, a beautiful young girl in California was shot and killed. And you know what? It doesn’t matter if you’re white or black, green or orange, justice should have been brought for her family.”

Building off Trump’s commitment to secure our border and cut down on illegal immigration, Lewandowksi said he believes Americans appreciate Trump’s “killer” instinct.

“He’s a killer. I want a killer as a president,” he said. “I want to make sure we are the toughest, greatest nation in the world and that we are safe,” he said, adding that Trump “is a man who has achieved so much success in his life.”

Many Americans agree with Trump that we need to secure our borders, combat illegal immigration, and keep America safe — maybe liberals on The View will learn that one day.
