Desperate for attention, the liberal group Media Matters has levied a new attack against Fox News host Sean Hannity.

On Thursday, the left-wing group posted Study: Fox spent nearly 12 hours pushing the Uranium One pseudoscandal over the last three weeks.

Media Matters fellow Matt Gertz published a very long, one-sided hit piece lambasting Hannity for maintaining a focus on the Uranium One scandal.

“Hannity’s segment was the first in what became a network obsession. Over the past three weeks, Fox has spent nearly 12 hours discussing Uranium One,” Gertz wrote.

Further proving that he is out of touch with reality and incapable of synthesizing evidence, falsely claims the Uranium One scandal has been debunked as a conspiracy theory.

“The problem, of course, is that the Uranium One story is a bogus conspiracy theory, a sloppy mishmash of shoddy reporting, fabrications, and motivated reasoning whose central premise — that Clinton played a role in the deal — has been debunked,” he wrote.

Hannity has been trying to bring attention to former President Barack Obama’s administration approving in 2010 the partial sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to Rosatom, a massive nuclear company in Russia with direct ties to the Kremlin.

As reported by The Hill, the sale, which was approved by Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of state, resulted in Rosatom receiving 20 percent of the United States’ uranium.

According to their report, prior to the Obama administration approving the deal, the FBI had gathered “substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States.”

“Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show,” The Hill added.

Around the same time the sale took place, the Clinton Foundation reportedly received hundreds of millions of dollars in donations from Russian officials associated with the nuclear deal.

Assuming that it not enough, the New York Times also published a bombshell piece in 2015 detailing how Clinton approved the sale one-fifth of the of United States’ uranium and suspiciously received a massive donation to her foundation at some point during the deal.

The Times, certainly not a publication friendly to conservatives, published a piece titled, “Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal.

In addition to corroborating the evidence reintroduced in the 2016 piece from The Hill, the Times noted that right after the Russians announced their plans to become majority owners of Uranium One, former President Bill Clinton was coincidentally paid $500,000 by a Russian bank with ties to the Kremlin and Uranium One to give a single speech in Moscow.

Are we to believe this is all merely a coincidence or just how government works?

Perhaps Media Matters is attacking Hannity and Fox News because they are refusing to let the mainstream media cover-up this scandal.

If Democrats can waste nearly a year on trying to prove President Donald Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election — which they haven’t produced a shred of evidence to support such salacious claims — then Hannity has every right to keep the attention on this story because the liberal media appears to be uninterested.
