Can leftists and their media allies successfully protect Senator Franken, Rep. Conyers and others seemingly caught in the act?

With several top Democrats accused of sexual misconduct in recent weeks, the Media Equality Project is heading to Washington to rock Capitol Hill.

After downplaying allegations made against Democrats while feigning moral outrage when it comes to claims against Republicans, it’s time to expose the media and political establishment’s blatant double-standard.

Not long after Democrat Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota and Democrat Rep. Jon Conyers of Michigan were accused by several women of harassment and inappropriate behavior, our sources have indicated that even more stunning revelations are to be revealed this week.

While Conyers announced Sunday that he would step aside as the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee amid sexual harassment allegations, he has not resigned as a member of the House of Representatives.

In an effort to expose inappropriate sexual misconduct plaguing our nation’s capital, the Media Equality Project is holding a news conference Wednesday, November 29 at 10am EST.

The Project is not only demanding that Franken and Conyers resign, but calling on Congress to release the ENTIRE LIST of EVERY elected official who has been involved with the slush fund that paid women to settle their complaints and remain silent.

Last week, it was reported that the Office of Compliance has paid victims more than $17 million to settle complaints of harassment and misconduct since its creation in the 1990s.

We are demanding that the list be made public for the American people to see.

The news conference will feature several prominent women who have been ignored by the mainstream media for decades, such as Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, Leslie Millwee, in addition to radio host Blanquita Cullum and others.

Guest speaker will be Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King.

King’s message coincides with ours — that no woman should ever be silenced, insulted, harassed, stalked, intimidated, molested, assaulted or raped.

The event will be hosted by Media Equalizer Project Co-Founders Melanie Morgan and Brian Maloney, who are demanding that the women who have been subjected to sexual misconduct by members of Congress are finally given the attention and respect they deserve.

We have also made several attempts to ensure this is a bipartisan effort, where several Democrats have been invited to join the Project’s efforts to expose members of Congress who have gotten away with abusing their power for too long.

Morgan has made it clear that she wants everyone to come together to cleanse Capitol Hill of the underlying filth that has been hidden for decades.

This is not an issue of right or left, it’s an issue of right or wrong. We are standing together to ensure that sexual harassers are no longer allowed to roam the halls of Congress posing as representatives of the people. Our lawmakers must adhere to a higher standard of professional conduct.

We are inviting Democratic Congresswomen who have spoken about this issue, including Congresswoman Jackie Speier who revealed the existence of a 15 million dollar slush fund used to pay-off women making complaints. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has also been invited, and Congresswoman Barbara Comstock. Sadly, Comstock (R-VA) has chosen not to be publicly associated with the women who are bravely stepping forward to demand change

We have not yet heard back from the Democrats who should want to make this a bi-partisan effort.

The event is demanding that Conyers and Franken resign, but it is also aiming to serve as a platform to unite those who have been subjected to any form of harassment or sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill.

It would be unfathomable to think that Democrats wouldn’t join Republicans on this issue and work towards a bipartisan solution.

What’s next

Maloney and Morgan are inviting every woman with a story to tell, who have been silenced and never had their day in court.
