Should Democrats pin their hopes on an eleventh-hour recount of Wisconsin and other key states?
No, says Bernie Sanders. The former presidential primary contender and Vermont senator told CNN yesterday that while the Clinton camp has every legal right to pursue it, “no one expects there to be profound change”.
Instead of attempting to overturn the election, Sanders believes President-elect Trump should be held to his promises to assist America’s struggling middle class, through health care reform and an easing of rules prohibiting prescription drug importation, in addition to other campaign themes.
The senator says Trump has been “quiet” on these issues since winning the election.
