Thanks to a truly batty assertion, a key Democratic congresswoman is stretching the limits of credibility ever further. The food police are nothing if not creative these days!
Long known as a few donuts short of a dozen, Rep Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) has blamed “peanut M&Ms and Coke” for her onetime bout with cancer. From the New York Post:
“I am someone who used to eat peanut M&Ms and drink a Coke for breakfast for the better part of a decade,” said Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.). “Then I got breast cancer at 41 years old.”
“We don’t have to serve them cardboard. It doesn’t have to taste bad,” she said of healthy food alternatives.
Since we’ve never, ever heard anyone associating snack foods with the development of breast cancer, we’d love to see Debbie’s evidence to back this up. Think she’ll provide it? Good luck with that.
